I wasn’t surprised when the rapist Trump and MAGA went after Taylor Swift.[1] She’s young, an accomplished artist, supported President Biden in 2020 and isn’t a MAGA supporter. But Dolly?! What kind of morons go after Dolly Parton?!
In case you missed it, The Federalist came out with a post critical of Dolly Parton that was written by Ericka Andersen. [2] No kidding. Dolly just doesn’t pass Andersen’s Christian muster test because she doesn’t hate gays.
Apparently, no one is safe from MAGA’s “moral” eye including a beloved icon like Dolly Parton! For those that might not know The Federalist is hard right and NOT known for accuracy.[3] They’re also going to be known for not being the sharpest tool in the shed after singling out Dolly for their MAGA ire.
The author, Ericka Andersen (bless her heart), has already issued a mea culpa after the backlash she received because of … you know … slamming Dolly for not being a good enough Christian.[4] DOLLY! The backlash was swift. This is my favorite.
