MAGAts go hard on Trans

Our beautiful niece is trans, so this hits us right in our hearts.
We don’t have to apologize for ever voting for Trump, because we didn’t. I do apologize for ever voting for any Republican though. If you still claim to be a Republican, you are self-identifying as a MAGA fascist. The Republican party that was, is no more.

Kansas MAGAts have gone hard on our transgender siblings with House Bill 244/SB 244. It requires transgender people to use the restrooms and other sex-separated facilities in government buildings associated with their sex assigned at birth, while creating new civil and criminal penalties to enforce those restrictions. It also prohibits transgender people from updating their driver’s licenses or state ID cards to reflect their gender, and invalidates transgender people’s existing driver’s licenses, state IDs, and birth certificates if those documents were issued in Kansas and reflect a gender different from a person’s sex at birth.[1] The sole purpose of the legislation is to “disappear” transgender people by creating legislation to fix a problem that doesn’t exist except in their bigoted minds. Christian White Nationalists routinely oppose things they don’t understand.
Other MAGAt states can be expected to get on board the fascist hate train in the near future. Where one MAGAt goes they all go. No doubt the Kansas legislature is proud of leading the way.
There are some practical problems with enforcement of the legislation, of course. There is the fact that every trans person who was able to change the gender marker on their driver’s license, now has an invalid license, and has to go to the trouble and expense of getting a new one. And who will the fascist restroom guards be? You know, the ones that will be inspecting dicks and vaginas. Will they hide behind masks? Or will people have to show their IDs now to use the restroom? No ID, no restroom for you! Or will they just go by appearance like is being done by Trump’s ICE Gestapo when they disappear people off the nation’s streets? As in she’s too ugly to be female or her hair is too short. The next thing you know, Kansas will enact a law forcing them to wear a red T on their person like the Nazis did with Jews and the Star of David to make them easy to identify. All of this bullshit is more than an inconvenience; it’s an infringement of their Constitutional rights.
It was “colored” people at one time being denied basic human rights in our country. Now it’s trans people and immigrants whose humanity MAGAts deny. Did you know that there are only about 1700 trans people affected in Kansas?[2] That’s an awful lot of legislation being brought to bear on such a tiny fraction of Kansas’ population.
However, MAGAt’s hate for the entire LGBTQIA community is deep so no doubt they will keep pushing to eradicate more of them. Passing or trying to pass anti-gay legislation is not new.[3] Gay sex is still nominally against the law in Kansas even though such laws have been ruled unconstitutional. Kansas refuses to remove them from the books. MAGAts don’t give up their dreams of bringing back an oppressive society easily.
MAGAts call themselves Christians and say that Christianity is what the nation needs. Then they pass legislation against those that are least able to defend themselves and who are doing absolutely zero harm by existing. This is in direct contradiction to Jesus’s words.
People like them are why I have left the church. Why I no longer identify as Christian. To my mind, any faith and book supposedly “inspired by god” that is used to justify so much bigotry, racism, hate, intolerance and injustice simply cannot be legitimate.
You know, I used a women’s restroom once. It was a long trip and a long walk to the office. When I ran in I bee-lined it for the nearest restroom. I thought that I went into the men’s side. When I came out of the stall imagine my surprise when there was a woman standing there washing her hands. I hollered, “OMG!” She looked over at me, laughed and said, “It’s not a problem. Don’t worry about it.” When I walked out the substantial number of people in the waiting room laughed. I sheepishly bowed. No one called the police or filed charges. Imagine that! When I was in Korea the restrooms were communal. No problems. Imagine that! When the lines are long at the women’s restroom, I can guarantee that there are a surprising number of Kansas women that have used a men’s room without any problems. Imagine that!
It is very clear from what is going on with the Epstein files that despite Republicans’ protestations of “protecting the children”, the GOP is now the Guardians Of Pedophiles party. Straight white men are the actual biggest threat to children in America. Statistically, it is more likely for a child to be abused at a youth Christian camp (or at the hands of a member of our current administration) than by a transgender person in a public bathroom.[4] [5] [6]
When Republican MAGAts in Kansas were done voting did they all piously gather ‘round in a prayer circle and give thanks to their Nazi Jesus for being able to destroy people’s lives, strike yet another blow for fascism and their King of the Pedo Protectors Trump? I bet they did.
Are MAGAts praying to their King that Kansas will get to house some concentration camps for brown people too? Does it bring them joy when they get to vote to rip families apart and stick humans in camps? I bet they are. Fucking fascist bigots.
All of the fascist hate and intolerance that MAGAts are promoting is ultimately not going to work out well for the new Amerika they are trying to create. Their opposition to science, education, health, human rights, along with their outright racism is already resulting in deaths and more destroyed lives. And the leopard will be eating everyone’s faces.
Not just the “libs.”
