BODY COUNTS BEGIN.
So, Trump started a war with Iran without getting Congressional approval first. Move along. Nothing going on here besides starting a war. It’s just Trump doing what Trump does best, again. Destroying. So, what is anyone going to do about it? I can answer that.
Absolutely nothing.
PARTY! PARTY! PARTY!
It seems that starting a war should be a solemn occasion. Yet Trump couldn’t even deny himself a trip to party at Mar a Lago for one weekend to start that war. He announced it from his club wearing a Melania style hat.[1] In his video address to the nation at many places in his speech he might as well have been talking about what his Administration is doing in the world in addition to Iran.[2]
Trump gave a speech at the Medal of Honor ceremony on March 2nd.[3] During his speech he gave an update on the war. He mentioned the 4 service members killed so far. Right after thanking all the service members, he put in harm’s way, he started talking about the gold drapes he picked out and his big beautiful ballroom.[4] I shit you not. (9m20s) Then he went on to honor the recipients interspersed with bashing Democrats and former presidents.
All the petty begins and ends with Trump.
GUTTED AGENCIES
The agencies that are supposed to watch for and protect us from terrorist attacks have all been decimated of capable personnel. Instead, King Pedo Protector has got the incompetent DOJ and what FBI that remains prosecuting his perceived enemies including veterans that he refers to as “domestic terrorists.” (Takes on a different connotation now that we’re engaged in Trump’s war doesn’t it?)
What Trump seems to be unaware of in all this is that he and his family have properties in America and abroad. Personally, I think people should be avoiding their properties. (Not that we could ever afford to stay at one.) Or maybe he already is and is dispatching security to all his places of business. He can start his Golden Dome by putting Patriot batteries on the roofs of his hotels and clubs.
It won’t be enough.
GOD’S WAR
Trump’s also been getting rid of any competent military leaders, especially women, that are perceived as not toeing the MAGA party line. He has military leaders telling troops that their actions are “biblically sanctioned.”[5] Yes you read that correctly. We have stupid fucking military leaders trying to bring about the “end times” white Christian nationalists believe in with all their soulless hearts.
This is where Trump’s MAGAt Congressional lackies and MAGA Supremes with their unitarian Presidency that they have given complete immunity have brought the nation. They were supposed to be the last line of defense for our democracy. Instead, they threw in with the Nazis. For these MAGAts party is God.
Party first.
