Here’s two things for sure about the recent assassination attempt on Trump. There will be more questions than answers. Conspiracists will fill in the blanks. It’s Lee Harvey Oswald time. Let’s hope not.

Was it real?
Here’s what I believe. It was real. It was horribly wrong. I am thankful that Trump was unharmed. It’s too soon to reach conclusions. It was a damned odd assassination attempt.[1] The AP gives a breakdown of what is known so far.[2]
We do know that the attempt took place at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. Trump has very predictable habits. Golfing. When he goes places and one of his courses is close by, Trump golfs. Even though when he campaigned way back in 2016 he said that he wouldn’t have time to golf—Trump golfed. Trump golfed more in four years than Obama did in 8. Trump golfs. And what’s more Trump is going to keep golfing even though golf courses are incredibly hard for the Secret Service to secure especially when the move isn’t planned.
Is it any wonder that people are questioning the assassination attempt on Trump? What is Trump trying to teach Americans? That Media doesn’t tell the truth. And who do people turn to for information?

Questions
Trump has spent the last 9 years telling us that we can’t believe media and that everything is rigged against him. Can we believe anything? Should we question everything? Is it any wonder that people are questioning what happened? According to Trump media and our government are enemies.
The shooter, Ryan Wesley Routh, has a residence listed in Hawaii. Did he fly to Florida from Hawaii or was he already back on the continent? (Because in March he voted in the North Carolina primary.) Routh is a felon. How was he able to acquire a weapon? Who did he get it from? Where was he headed when he left the scene? Since Trump going golfing was an ‘off schedule’ spur of the movement event how did Routh know where Trump would be? Why didn’t Routh fire his weapon? Where did he get the vehicle he was driving? How was he funded? Was the attempt real? Can we believe our own eyes regarding what we’re seeing or hearing?
In the coming weeks information will dribble and leak out as there are new revelations and questions will be answered. This is apparently the second attempt on Trump’s life and here’s what we do know for sure: both would-be assassins were white and former Trump supporters. They both failed in their attempt.
Unlike way too many school shooters.
Where do we go from here?
Law enforcement caught the guy. Routh was unbelievably calm. He didn’t shoot his weapon. He packed a meal. MAGA will keep saying that Trump’s attempt to overthrow our democracy shouldn’t be criticized or talked about. MAGA will pump out an incredible amount of false information.
Trump will keep golfing.
