Trumptanic
AKA The Trump Depression

There’s more than one way to be depressed
Okay, passengers on the bad ship Trumptanic, it’s time! The Trumptanic is heading for the economy berg at full speed. The MAGAunaires are loading up as much loot as they can on their personal lifeboats.
How about you? What do you have to load onto your lifeboat?
Since average Americans are in steerage probably the same as us. No bags of cash to load. No economic safe havens. No fail-safe houses of prosperity for the working class. We just wait for the economic crash to happen and will do what we can to survive and minimize the damage. The poor have it even worse.
Meanwhile Captain Trump of the Trumptanic is NOT going down with the ship. Trump and his fellow billionaires are looting the country. The so-called “Captains of Industry” are true to form stuffing their pockets with as much cash as they can grift off of the economy.[1] Historian Heather Cox Richardson provides an excellent breakdown here. Trump spawn, just like their daddy, are grifting right out in the open with incredible pay to play schemes and pump and dump stock market manipulation.[2]
Buy low, sell high.
Upcoming events.
Recession? Depression? Which comes first? Do you know the difference.[3] Odds are high that you soon will. Real high. It’s already started.
Not coming soon to store shelves near you![4] Warehouses are emptying of inventory.[5] In addition to building the most ships[6] (The US ranks 14th) China also dominates the container ship market.[7] Container ship traffic to US ports is already down 45%.[8] To provide an idea of what that means is there are 700,000 fewer truckloads of goods to be delivered.[9] (Ships spend around 30 days in transit.)
MAGA cultists are now saying that they’re willing to suffer through some pain and belt tightening in order to accomplish their Führer’s goals as he along with his Red State Congress members work to establish the Trump Reich. The problem is that their Führer didn’t campaign on causing them pain. He campaigned on a Golden Age from the git-go.
When industry starts laying people off due to supply chain shortages because people don’t have the money to purchase goods and services or pay for their internet there will be a ripple effect throughout the entire country. People will lose homes, savings and livelihood. There will be food shortages.
There is zero way to predict what is going to happen if no one stops Trump, but one thing we know for sure.
It will be way ugly.
The other side.
And after this Trumptanic debacle runs its course the cost of everything will stay higher. Prices will roll back some but won’t go all the way back to where this started; they never do. Corporations will make up for their losses as much as they can. We consumers will pay the price.
Our nation will have made enemies out of other nations and people that will last for generations. People in the world will remember family members and others starving to death. People will remember all that they lost.
Especially the loss of trust in the US’s government.
