Shocker! Liberal has Guns!

ASSASSIN

It’s horrible that there was yet another attempt to assassinate President Trump. It’s wrong. It serves no purpose. Another Trump is waiting in the wings. My very personal opinion is that President Trump is a valuable asset to Democrats getting elected as the nation heads to midterm elections. He’s incredibly unpopular. President Nixon wasn’t as unpopular and he resigned.

Trump has been threatening violence against his “enemies” since he first started campaigning for office. The press. Democrats. 1000s of individuals. Organizations. Nations. Immigrants.[1] [2] [3]  Trump also encouraged the violent overthrow of our democracy so that he could stay in power.

MAGAts are blaming Democrats for the increase in violence. It’s like they don’t know who Trump is.

And he’s not about to stop.

LOTS TO EXPLAIN

Conspiracy theories will abound. It happens after every assassination attempt. Some questions will never be answered. Honestly one explanation that some people are always loathe to accept is that sometimes shit just happens.

The alleged would-be assassin appears, for once, not to be a crazed right-winger. He qualifies as a liberal, but his “manifesto” seems to call Trump and others in the administration traitors and accuse Trump of sexual misconduct (without actually naming names).

The assassin was stopped a floor above (terrace level) where the dinner was being held, well before he could even get close to the President.[4] He didn’t look like he’d been shot. It seems like he just fell down and was swarmed by agents.

Here are some things I noticed about the incident.

· Why in the world was the chain of succession at the same dinner? I mean, in addition to the President, the Vice President and Speaker of the House were also there. At the very least one of them should have been at a secure location somewhere other than where the event was held.

·  The Vice President was removed from the room before the President.

· Some videos that I have watched are already disappearing from You Tube. I watched a couple videos of Trump being dragged out from behind the dais because he was unable to keep his feet underneath him and stand up. Contrary to claims he has made, he most definitely was NOT trying to talk to the Secret Service agents who were carrying him by his shoulders into staying. He was slack jawed and not talking at all in the clip I watched.

·  I don’t see any way that the assassin could have been part of any plot to stage a fake assassination attempt. But I still have to wonder about the competence of the Secret Service, that this man could have even gotten as close as he did with his weapons and not get shot at almost pointblank range.

·  There have been several close-up videos of Trump, Melania, Karoline Leavitt, and Weijia Jiang, White House Correspondents President, with the Mentalist entertainer Oz standing behind them when the shots rang out. They didn’t appear to hear them.[5] Melania appears to say, “What happened?” while looking out into the crowd a full 9 seconds after the gunshots. (People in the audience heard the shots and were already reacting. 2m22s in attached endnote.)[6] Everyone in the video that saw the audience reacting besides Trump registered shock/fear before the camera pulled back to a long view. Personally, I think Trump is in la la land a lot of the time. The real world confuses him.

But back to the whole “liberals with guns” thing. Why are Republicans always so surprised when they see evidence of Democrats owning guns? They accuse “Dems” and “libtards” of wanting to take away all the guns, but really, nothing could be further from the truth. Because sensible gun legislation is hardly the same thing as banning gun ownership.

Liberals got guns.
