Having it both ways. [Pandemic]

Inspirational message from the Evangelical Party.

“This pandemic, this is the result of a fallen world. A world that has turned its back on God.” --  Franklin Graham

^ Evidently having the “Chosen One” one for President isn’t working out as well for the Evangelical Party supporting President Trump as they hoped since according to their expressed belief that the “Chosen One” has already turned the country around.

^ Instead their god sent a pandemic.

The good. The bad. The ugly.
^ Did you just hear the music in your head from the movie? It wasn’t a hymn but the perfect introduction.
^ This is where they want it both ways. The “Chosen One” brought god back to the White House and turned the country around.
^ But the god in charge of all things sent a pandemic instead. Didn’t their god get the memo? Did they send the message about the turn around to the wrong address? What happened? Or did the “Chosen One” mess things up and god sent a little reminder?
^ The Evangelical Party wants us to believe that we’re still being punished by the Jesus that commanded we’re to love one another. They added an ‘or’ to that commandment. Or I’ll kill innocent men, women and children including believers of the faith by the tens of thousands.
        ^ Having it both ways.
^ Here are some more commandments: Don’t kill people. Don’t place innocents in danger. Don’t make idols! This is a big one. Churches are not to be worshiped! The Constitution is not to be worshipped. The Republican Jesters have shown America how the Constitution can be used for evil. There is evil. Don’t worship evil! If it acts evil, talks evil, does evil and lies—it is evil. Those that hold money in higher regard than people are evil.  A President is not to be made an idol to worship.

An aside!
^ I want to say right here that I am a follower of Jesus. I do believe in God. I believe in a kind, merciful, caring and loving God. It is this God that I will write about using the big G. In writing about the god of the Evangelical Party I will use a small ‘g’ because theirs is a foreign god. A god of retribution and punishment. A god that carries a grudge and punishes the good along with the evil.
^ And by having it both ways I mean that the Evangelical Party wants to be engaged in politics but they don’t want to pay taxes. If they want to avoid paying taxes then all that they have to do is not take political positions and tell people who to vote for in elections. They believe in the separation of church and state because they don’t want the state telling them what to do but they want the want the state to support their religious beliefs and give them money. These are some examples of what I mean by having it both ways.

No discrimination.
^ Their Old-Testament-Jesus-got-it-wrong-god didn’t discriminate though when it comes to killing people in this pandemic. Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, conservatives, moderates, liberals, people of color, every nationality, men, women, children, and though we may never know for sure god may have even killed the aliens being held at Area 51. Yes even scooped up Trump supporters along with the others. Now get this! He even nailed some of the Evangelical Party Pastors that support Trump! Now that is some serious attitude right there. Serious! Their god is really into the let him ‘sort it out’ part of the phrase.

The meek.

^ God really didn’t send a pandemic to kill innocent men, women and children. (Yes a few children have died along with some healthy younger and middle aged people.) SARS-CoV-2 came from the physical world and was spread and is spreading throughout the world. This isn’t anything new.
^ God also didn’t send a “Chosen One” in the form of an unrepentant, greed soaked, venal, name-calling, shallow, unfeeling, insecure, small-minded, petty man that pours lies from his mouth that bring harm every day and puts money before people.
^ God did provide us the tools that we need to help us deal with the free will of the physical world. We have the free will to use those tools or not to deal with the world as best we can.
^ God, Jesus and Holy Spirit comprise the trinity. They are one and the same. I’m not going to try and explain it because it’s above my pay grade.
^ But just to keep it simple for simple folk like myself Jesus had two commandments that were above all others. Love God. Love people. Not get even with people. Not punish people. Not kill people. Not kill children. Love people. Not hard. Okay, sometimes it’s hard. But still…

LOVE PEOPLE.

And the virus spread.
^ This is NOT the god of the Evangelical Party Pharisees. They have a different god. They have one cold-hearted iron-fisted smiting god. They worship a vengeful punishing god. A god that wants women punished for being murderers. Except when god’s right hand woman ensconced in the White House prays for miscarriages. Where she walks God walks! Where she walks is holy ground! Millions of women in this country are murderers in THEIR eyes and they want retribution unless of course they’re the ones doing the murdering! Having it both ways.
^ There are Evangelical Party pastors encouraging their congregations to gather and worship just like Republican Jesters were encouraging people to get together DURING A PANDEMIC.  Their palaces are idols to be worshiped and supported. If people die because of them they’re martyrs for Jesus! Keep sending your cash, check or money order—the jet needs fuel!
^ They didn’t want a bunch of science-minded liberals telling them what to do for safety so they told a bunch of their core base to do the opposite. If people live it’s because their god wanted it. If people die it’s because their god wanted it. Having it both ways.
^ Under the non-leadership of these people additional lives were lost and the SARS-CoV-2
Virus spread even more.
^ There are those in the Evangelical Party that believe, and no I’m not making this up I just watched the video, that witches are trying to cast a spell on President Trump and they of the Evangelical Party are speaking in tongues to protect him.
^ For what it’s worth Christians aren’t supposed to believe in sorcery or witchcraft but there you go.
^ These are just a fraction of the whackadoodles that have the ear of the President. I mean, I seriously wish that there wasn’t a woman in the White House praying for pregnant women to miscarry. (No I’m not talking about the First Lady I’m talking about Paula White.) She’s the dirt bag that said people should send her money instead of paying their bills during a pandemic. After all we had the pandemic coming to us and they want the money coming to them. BTW she dresses real nice! She’s purty!

Power and money!
^ Unable to attain the power that they covet in their multi-million dollar palaces the Evangelical Party have thrown in with a Liar of truly biblical proportions. They want to use the power of his office to support the beliefs of their god. They want the government to do what they have been unable to accomplish. They don’t want to have to serve those that they disagree with like gays or Muslims. They want the government to control women. But they don’t want the government to control them. Having it both ways.
^ They have thrown in a couple of billion dollars to achieve their, oops, excuse me, god’s goals.
^ Paula White said at a meeting of 500 of the Evangelical Party that, “We don’t want people to tell us how to think!” She said this as a representative of the Evangelical Party that want the government to tell us not only how to think but how to behave according to their beliefs. Having it both ways.
^ They are actively engaged in politics but don’t want to be taxed. Paying taxes would put them out of business. I may have lied there. The large churches would just charge their congregants more. Having it both ways.

Another aside.
^ I don’t mean to imply that all mega churches are in the same boat with the Evangelical Party because they aren’t. Some of the larger churches do a lot of good just like the smaller ones. The majority of churches in this country have around 300 members or less.
^ However there are LOTS of small congregations that are actively supporting the current “Chosen One” as well. Typically they are more fundamentalist Old Testament “eye for an eye” churches many with women in subservient positions.
^ There are lots of Christians doing their level best to fight against discrimination, help immigrants and put people before money and profit. They put loving people first and their God isn’t a mass murderer.

An American Inquisition.
^ They want to bring a modernized updated Spanish Inquisition to America and they want to run it. It will be a kinder gentler inquisition. In 2018 The “Chosen One” a.k.a. President Trump created a Faith Office like Presidents before him did. He undid protections providing for religious freedom by President Obama and instituted new freedoms that will “protect” the Christian faith that is but never was under attack and allow them to discriminate against those that they don’t believe worthy.
^ If you’ll remember when Obama was President there were 3 epidemics and none of them came close to the level of this one. They were managed. There was no national shutdown. The economy didn’t crash. People weren’t told to stay in their homes. There was no chaos. The government of the United States had not been taken apart.
^ The Evangelical Party along with President Trump are the victims! They are the protectors of the unborn except for the millions murdered through abortion, miscarriages by their god and the miscarriages that they pray for. This would be Paula White praying that women carrying demon babies would miscarry. She wanted their god to abort through miscarriages. God is either in charge of everything or ‘he’ isn’t. Having it both ways.

Getting personal.
^ Some might argue that this essay has already been a little personal. Here’s the God, and I use God with a big G, that a lot of Christians believe in. This is the God that I believe in.  The God that set the physical world in motion. The God that said let there be light. The God that sent Jesus who said,

“Love one another as I have loved you.”
