Our Unity Ducé Tweets.

“We can’t let the Fake News, and their partner, the Radical Left, Do Nothing Democrats, get away with stealing the Election. They tried that in 2016. How did that work out?”
President Donald Trump addressing the nation.

^ A tweet from our Chosen One President rising above the fray and unifying our bring prayer back to school Christian nation on April 30, 2020. What? Not a true statement? Well, if you don’t believe that then you should just take your liberal freedom and leave the nation! Your kind isn’t welcome here!

Focus
^ President Tweetybird is closing in on 50 tweets this morning. It seems like I remember his Republican Jesters saying that the impeachment is what kept him from being focused on the pandemic. Good to see that he has his priorities straightened out and focused on the right thing now.
^ Perhaps I should get out my handy calculator and do some number crunching and figure out mortality rates, infection rates and exposure rates in our neighborhood and apply them to the nation to see where we’re going from here because I think that I’m going to come up with some different numbers than all the scientists and experienced epidemiologists. Or not.

What time is it?!
^ It’s obvious that in large swaths of the country the people needing a haircut are going to win. They’re certainly winning around here. I went to pick up our groceries at Harter House. The parking lot was full. I was wearing a mask and gloves. The workers were wearing masks and gloves. That’s about it. Good to see that people are taking 64,000 dead seriously.
^ History from the Spanish Flu pandemic tells us that we’re all going to pay a price for this in the coming weeks.  They had their anti-mask people then as well. Forget staying home and social distancing. Too many people don’t have enough morality to even bother with wearing a mask. During the Spanish Flu pandemic history tells us that we can expect an uptick in deaths here in a few weeks. And since this is the land of the free where people can travel to other states to get haircuts the infection will start coming back in before it drops off.
^ It will drop off. We’ll catch a lull before it starts back up again in the Fall when the regular flu season kicks in. Now that part is a “probably”. It is possible that we could miss a second wave unlike what has happened with other virus spreads. The flu returns every year in case it isn’t clear what I’m talking about. The impact from that is that we’ll have more people dying from the flu than usual because of an over-burdened medical system.

Barbershop Quartets
^ Yet another reason that professionals are maintaining that deaths are being under reported is that when they compare the number of deaths that we usually have at this time the additional deaths are off the charts higher across the nation. Now this is where all those people with their personal calculators add things up and say that this really isn’t a big deal either because the percentage aren’t really all that much in the way of dead people and /or that they know someone that knows someone that has talked with a whole bunch of people that are on the front lines that say this whole thing is just an overblown-by-the-media-liberal-conspiracy meant to keep them out of barber shops.
^ BTW there were some doctors that during the flu pandemic said similar things. They were wrong to the tune of 650,000 dead. (I don’t think that we’ll hit anywhere near those numbers unless we really work at it.)
^ We now lead the world in deaths. U S A! U S A! What was it the DucĂ©’s son-in-law said that what they’ve accomplished is a success story? I’m not going to take the time to look it up. I’m just remembering that our DucĂ© said that all of us would be able to get a test. I’m certain that all of his Jesters will have a much better and much more technical explanation of what he really said and meant. Honestly he did not say that we would necessarily be alive when we got tested.

Rebound.
^ We’re already close to all of us knowing someone that has either had Ω  COVID-19 or Ω  SARS-CoV-2 or died from it. We should get to that point within the next couple of weeks. I still pray to God that won’t happen but sadly we’ve already lost too many people to keep believing that. I still pray. Why? Because God did not cause this. God is who I go to for comfort and understanding. Understanding is key because understanding is knowledge. Understanding is science. Science made possible because we have the ability to learn.
Love God. Love people. Love life.

Having it both ways. [Pandemic]

Inspirational message from the Evangelical Party.

“This pandemic, this is the result of a fallen world. A world that has turned its back on God.” --  Franklin Graham

^ Evidently having the “Chosen One” one for President isn’t working out as well for the Evangelical Party supporting President Trump as they hoped since according to their expressed belief that the “Chosen One” has already turned the country around.

^ Instead their god sent a pandemic.

The good. The bad. The ugly.
^ Did you just hear the music in your head from the movie? It wasn’t a hymn but the perfect introduction.
^ This is where they want it both ways. The “Chosen One” brought god back to the White House and turned the country around.
^ But the god in charge of all things sent a pandemic instead. Didn’t their god get the memo? Did they send the message about the turn around to the wrong address? What happened? Or did the “Chosen One” mess things up and god sent a little reminder?
^ The Evangelical Party wants us to believe that we’re still being punished by the Jesus that commanded we’re to love one another. They added an ‘or’ to that commandment. Or I’ll kill innocent men, women and children including believers of the faith by the tens of thousands.
        ^ Having it both ways.
^ Here are some more commandments: Don’t kill people. Don’t place innocents in danger. Don’t make idols! This is a big one. Churches are not to be worshiped! The Constitution is not to be worshipped. The Republican Jesters have shown America how the Constitution can be used for evil. There is evil. Don’t worship evil! If it acts evil, talks evil, does evil and lies—it is evil. Those that hold money in higher regard than people are evil.  A President is not to be made an idol to worship.

An aside!
^ I want to say right here that I am a follower of Jesus. I do believe in God. I believe in a kind, merciful, caring and loving God. It is this God that I will write about using the big G. In writing about the god of the Evangelical Party I will use a small ‘g’ because theirs is a foreign god. A god of retribution and punishment. A god that carries a grudge and punishes the good along with the evil.
^ And by having it both ways I mean that the Evangelical Party wants to be engaged in politics but they don’t want to pay taxes. If they want to avoid paying taxes then all that they have to do is not take political positions and tell people who to vote for in elections. They believe in the separation of church and state because they don’t want the state telling them what to do but they want the want the state to support their religious beliefs and give them money. These are some examples of what I mean by having it both ways.

No discrimination.
^ Their Old-Testament-Jesus-got-it-wrong-god didn’t discriminate though when it comes to killing people in this pandemic. Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, conservatives, moderates, liberals, people of color, every nationality, men, women, children, and though we may never know for sure god may have even killed the aliens being held at Area 51. Yes even scooped up Trump supporters along with the others. Now get this! He even nailed some of the Evangelical Party Pastors that support Trump! Now that is some serious attitude right there. Serious! Their god is really into the let him ‘sort it out’ part of the phrase.

The meek.

^ God really didn’t send a pandemic to kill innocent men, women and children. (Yes a few children have died along with some healthy younger and middle aged people.) SARS-CoV-2 came from the physical world and was spread and is spreading throughout the world. This isn’t anything new.
^ God also didn’t send a “Chosen One” in the form of an unrepentant, greed soaked, venal, name-calling, shallow, unfeeling, insecure, small-minded, petty man that pours lies from his mouth that bring harm every day and puts money before people.
^ God did provide us the tools that we need to help us deal with the free will of the physical world. We have the free will to use those tools or not to deal with the world as best we can.
^ God, Jesus and Holy Spirit comprise the trinity. They are one and the same. I’m not going to try and explain it because it’s above my pay grade.
^ But just to keep it simple for simple folk like myself Jesus had two commandments that were above all others. Love God. Love people. Not get even with people. Not punish people. Not kill people. Not kill children. Love people. Not hard. Okay, sometimes it’s hard. But still…

LOVE PEOPLE.

And the virus spread.
^ This is NOT the god of the Evangelical Party Pharisees. They have a different god. They have one cold-hearted iron-fisted smiting god. They worship a vengeful punishing god. A god that wants women punished for being murderers. Except when god’s right hand woman ensconced in the White House prays for miscarriages. Where she walks God walks! Where she walks is holy ground! Millions of women in this country are murderers in THEIR eyes and they want retribution unless of course they’re the ones doing the murdering! Having it both ways.
^ There are Evangelical Party pastors encouraging their congregations to gather and worship just like Republican Jesters were encouraging people to get together DURING A PANDEMIC.  Their palaces are idols to be worshiped and supported. If people die because of them they’re martyrs for Jesus! Keep sending your cash, check or money order—the jet needs fuel!
^ They didn’t want a bunch of science-minded liberals telling them what to do for safety so they told a bunch of their core base to do the opposite. If people live it’s because their god wanted it. If people die it’s because their god wanted it. Having it both ways.
^ Under the non-leadership of these people additional lives were lost and the SARS-CoV-2
Virus spread even more.
^ There are those in the Evangelical Party that believe, and no I’m not making this up I just watched the video, that witches are trying to cast a spell on President Trump and they of the Evangelical Party are speaking in tongues to protect him.
^ For what it’s worth Christians aren’t supposed to believe in sorcery or witchcraft but there you go.
^ These are just a fraction of the whackadoodles that have the ear of the President. I mean, I seriously wish that there wasn’t a woman in the White House praying for pregnant women to miscarry. (No I’m not talking about the First Lady I’m talking about Paula White.) She’s the dirt bag that said people should send her money instead of paying their bills during a pandemic. After all we had the pandemic coming to us and they want the money coming to them. BTW she dresses real nice! She’s purty!

Power and money!
^ Unable to attain the power that they covet in their multi-million dollar palaces the Evangelical Party have thrown in with a Liar of truly biblical proportions. They want to use the power of his office to support the beliefs of their god. They want the government to do what they have been unable to accomplish. They don’t want to have to serve those that they disagree with like gays or Muslims. They want the government to control women. But they don’t want the government to control them. Having it both ways.
^ They have thrown in a couple of billion dollars to achieve their, oops, excuse me, god’s goals.
^ Paula White said at a meeting of 500 of the Evangelical Party that, “We don’t want people to tell us how to think!” She said this as a representative of the Evangelical Party that want the government to tell us not only how to think but how to behave according to their beliefs. Having it both ways.
^ They are actively engaged in politics but don’t want to be taxed. Paying taxes would put them out of business. I may have lied there. The large churches would just charge their congregants more. Having it both ways.

Another aside.
^ I don’t mean to imply that all mega churches are in the same boat with the Evangelical Party because they aren’t. Some of the larger churches do a lot of good just like the smaller ones. The majority of churches in this country have around 300 members or less.
^ However there are LOTS of small congregations that are actively supporting the current “Chosen One” as well. Typically they are more fundamentalist Old Testament “eye for an eye” churches many with women in subservient positions.
^ There are lots of Christians doing their level best to fight against discrimination, help immigrants and put people before money and profit. They put loving people first and their God isn’t a mass murderer.

An American Inquisition.
^ They want to bring a modernized updated Spanish Inquisition to America and they want to run it. It will be a kinder gentler inquisition. In 2018 The “Chosen One” a.k.a. President Trump created a Faith Office like Presidents before him did. He undid protections providing for religious freedom by President Obama and instituted new freedoms that will “protect” the Christian faith that is but never was under attack and allow them to discriminate against those that they don’t believe worthy.
^ If you’ll remember when Obama was President there were 3 epidemics and none of them came close to the level of this one. They were managed. There was no national shutdown. The economy didn’t crash. People weren’t told to stay in their homes. There was no chaos. The government of the United States had not been taken apart.
^ The Evangelical Party along with President Trump are the victims! They are the protectors of the unborn except for the millions murdered through abortion, miscarriages by their god and the miscarriages that they pray for. This would be Paula White praying that women carrying demon babies would miscarry. She wanted their god to abort through miscarriages. God is either in charge of everything or ‘he’ isn’t. Having it both ways.

Getting personal.
^ Some might argue that this essay has already been a little personal. Here’s the God, and I use God with a big G, that a lot of Christians believe in. This is the God that I believe in.  The God that set the physical world in motion. The God that said let there be light. The God that sent Jesus who said,

“Love one another as I have loved you.”

No King but Caesar [Politics/Religion]

This is a tough time for Christians to write and maintain civility because the very nature of what we are going through requires us to define events as well as people in negative terms. Unfortunately that’s the world as it is. So what are we to do? Do we let the hateful agenda of right-wing evangelicals define the faith? Can we turn to Jesus for guidance? Should we at least try and use his life as an example of what we should do? How should we respond?
Jesus didn’t hold back in criticizing the Pharisees. He was the enemy of Rome whether he liked it or not because to them Caesar was God. Jesus was not. The Caesar of Rome let the Pharisees (Religious leaders) keep their people in line as long as the money kept coming in and there weren’t any insurrections.
But for Christians Jesus was Lord. Jesus was a radical religious LIBERAL. Jesus did NOT go to Caesar for help. He did not go to Caesar to seek power. He did not try to get Caesar to enforce his will upon the Roman Empire. It wouldn’t have worked.
Fast forward to today and the right wing conservative evangelicals have thrown in with their Caesar, President Trump. They are the Evangelical Party. I already received one of their mailings in regards to November. They are promoting a huge “Christian” turn out for President Trump. Their Christians. They, like the Pharisees and Sadducees before them, are trying to whip their Christians into line for their Caesar by getting them to vote and act for those that will give them power. They want the power of Rome exercised through the President and his followers.

Pat Robertson:  I think, somehow, the Lord’s plan is being put in place for America and these people are not only revolting against Trump, they’re revolting against what God’s plan is for America.”
Franklin Graham:  “Hundreds of thousands of Christians from across the United States have been praying. This year they came out to every state capitol to pray for this election and for the future of America. Prayer groups were started. Families prayed. Churches prayed. Then Christians went to the polls, and God showed up. While the media scratches their heads and tries to understand how this happened, I believe that God’s hand intervened Tuesday night to stop the godless, atheistic progressive agenda from taking control of our country.” (Did God show up when Hitler took power? Germany was a “Christian” nation as much as the United States is.)
James Dobson:  “The Lord played a role in the election of Donald Trump. He was raised up for such a time as this.”
Jerry Falwell Jr.:  "Plenty of presidents have paid lip service to God, but few, if any, have demonstrated a consistent tendency to walk in Christ's shoes and make the morally correct decision instead of the politically easy one." (Technically I don’t believe that Falwell Jr. qualifies as a right wing conservative evangelical. He father along with Pat Robertson are a couple of evangelicals that put forth the belief that we had 9/11 coming to us.)
Tony Perkins:  “We kind of gave him, ‘All right, you get a mulligan. You get a do-over here.’” (A response he gave in an interview in regards to the Trump and Stormy Daniels affair. A mulligan! God, please give me a mulligan on that last one! And God said go and mulligan no more.  NIV, Golf Gospel. BTW it’s reported that he cheats at golf. That might actually qualify as a sin but I’m not trying to drive a wedge between golfers.)
Donald Trump (In response to a question asking if he seeks forgiveness.):  “I don’t think so. I think I, if I do something wrong I just try and make it right. I don’t bring God into that picture.”
Ralph Reed:  And I say that not as hyperbole but because we did it to Obama. When we took the House and the Senate, he could do almost nothing. … He couldn’t do anything on climate change, couldn’t do anything more on Obamacare, couldn’t raise taxes–legislatively he was a lame duck.” (A response given as to why Christians should vote Republican in November. I have to admit here that I did not know that he and his buddies were in charge of Congress then.)
Jeremiah Johnson:  “Trump does not fear man nor will he allow deception and lies to go unnoticed.” (This doesn’t exactly explain why Donald Trump avoided the draft.)

Here’s scripture that Evangelicals are using to support President Trump.
Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.” Romans 13:1 (NIV) Evangelicals consider the bible to be inerrant.
This is scripture evangelicals used for President Obama.
Let his days be few; and let another take his office.” Psalms 109:8 (KJV) Two options here. Impeached or dead. But wait! Here’s the rest of the story. “May his children be fatherless and his wife a widow!” Psalms 109:9. Nope. They just wanted the President dead.
On the one hand it’s refreshing to see that evangelicals are progressively flexible when it comes to the inerrancy of the bible. On the other hand their interpretations are hypocritical.
Judas sold out for silver. What did evangelicals sell out for? An embassy in Jerusalem?
The possibility of making getting an abortion more difficult for the poor and middle class? Protection of their religious beliefs at the exclusion of others? Their agenda of getting the right to discriminate against others at their choice?  Tax breaks for the friends of Caesar? Political power? Wealth?
Christians are far from unified in their opinions of what is taking place in this country. With the faith already in decline the actions of evangelicals will drive an even deeper wedge between the faith and the youth that are needed for the future continued viability of the church. They portray themselves as the voice of Christendom even though they don’t speak for all Christians (or probably even the majority of Christians). They claim that this President is a divine leader anointed by God. (They made no such claim for President Obama.) Evangelicals have become servants to the rich and powerful. They are servants to their Caesar.
There are evangelicals that believe that President Trump is fulfilling the prophecies by moving the embassy to Jerusalem.  By helping to get Donald Trump elected and helping him stay in power they believe they have become the hand of God. God needs their help!
The Saudis have their “Islamic religious police” and now the United States of America now has the “Religious Freedom Task Force” (RFTF) being put in place to enforce the doctrines of the Pharisee evangelicals. Their goals are about as unchristian as you can get when it comes to the teachings of Jesus.
If Jesus comes back and tries to enter the United States at the Mexican border, well, good luck getting past ICE and armed militia citizens. Jesus was real big on taking care of immigrants, the poor, the sick, children, the homeless, families and just people in general. He didn’t care what color they were. Jesus was probably brown. He also wasn’t super-hot crazy about the rich. He wanted them to give up all their stuff and follow him. They lived in communes. Crazy, huh!
Support for Trump can’t be because he’s moral or provides a good example of how a Christian should act. (Good grief, the Southern Baptist church I was saved at wouldn’t even let a divorced person hold a position in church.) The man is a veritable fountain of lies and hate. He has now, after denying it as fake news for months, finally admitted to paying off women that he was cheating on Melania with. One of which was a porn star. Unprotected sex with a porn star. Talk about high risk behavior. He put his wife at risk as well.
Another objective that they are striving for is to get abortion made illegal. Now, that won’t stop abortions from taking place. It never has. It never will. They know that. It will just drive women back to the coat hanger days and “back alley” abortions. They want women punished. Hell, they want women to suffer. If they see a pregnant woman out having a little wine they want to be able to sic the police on them for endangering the child that they’re carrying. A woman having a miscarriage would be suspect. Did she engage in behavior that put her pregnancy at risk? Send in agents of the RFTF to investigate.
They want to deny service to those that they perceive as being sinners. They want to be able to discriminate. They want to discriminate against the brown people coming across the border. They want children separated and families destroyed. It is their righteous justice! They are the mighty evangelicals. They want other religions denounced! They are the power brokers to the Caesar of today. They are God’s agents. They will be the arbiters of the American Christian inquisition.
President Trump is the man that they hold up for America as the idol of their values. He is the example that they want children to follow. This man that has never said that it was wrong for him to cheat on all of his wives. This man that mocks people’s appearance. This man that calls names and insults people on a daily basis. He encourages violence. A man that mocks the law. A man that lies constantly. A man that doesn’t ask for forgiveness of his sins let alone admit that he has sinned. A man of avarice and greed. A man obsessed with himself. A man that shares the values of racists and white nationalists. They are drawn to his message.  These are the values that the Evangelical Party now supports.
Pharisee evangelicals certainly don’t speak for me.
