(7-minute read.)
Ah, remember the days when conservatives were upset over President Clinton’s affair?
Bully vote.
While we’re remembering, remember the movie “A Christmas Story?” There was a youngster character that was a bully. His name was Scut Farcus. I love that name. It was perfect. It occurs to me that the rapist Trump is an obese adult sized Scut Farcus. Trump conducts himself at the same emotional maturity level of a Scut Farcus. Only the rapist Trump is way more dangerous.
Think of the bullies you have known throughout your life and then think Trump. Trump embodies the qualities of Scut Farcus. Scut had a sidekick, Grover Dill. Grover Dill personifies MAGA supporters. Because fundamentally they are threatening, name-calling bullies. They object when people hold them accountable and threaten them back. The rapist Trump who personifies talking trash about people objects when people do the same right back at him. So he sues people and organizations that say bad things about him because he has the thinnest and most transparent of skin.
Trump is forever butt-hurt about some slight, real or imagined.
All will be revealed!
Trump uses the courts to bully people as well. Trump sues people. From an article in 2020 it was stated from a guy named James Zirin that wrote in book about Trump’s lawsuits that Trump was involved in 3500 lawsuits.[1] Trump appears to lose the majority of his lawsuits but it’s hard to come up with an exact figure because of all the cases settled before going to trial. He settled a case with the Polish Brigade where he paid out 100% what they had asked for in their lawsuit. The public didn’t find out for 20 years and then only because the judge unsealed the records.[2]
From the article:
James Zirin: I really met him only to shake hands. I never met him to talk with him, but I knew of his reputation. I knew he didn’t pay his bills. I knew he didn’t pay his lawyers. I knew he’d been in bankruptcy five times, and I knew about his Atlantic City casinos. I knew he’d been sued a number of times. And I knew that he had been a plaintiff an extraordinary number of times. He sued journalists. He sued small business people for using the Trump name. He sued women who he was involved with. He sued his wives even after a divorce, both Ivana and Marla Maples. And I knew that a lot of settlements he entered during litigation were kept under seal in the files of the court, so the public would never know the terms of the settlements.
Also from the article:
Cohn’s recipe was fight, and he taught Trump the tools he used. No. 1 is if you’re charged with anything, counterattack. Rule No. 2 is if you’re charged with anything, try to undermine your adversary. Rule No. 3 is work the press. Rule No. 4 is lie. It doesn’t matter how tall a tale it is, but repeat it again and again. Rule No. 5 is settle the case, claim victory and go home.
And settle Trump often did.[3] USA Today has a page that totaled the number of all lawsuits involving Trump up to 2016 as being 4,095.[4] They score up his wins, losses, settled and dismissed suits. It doesn’t matter really. Trump just tells his cult that he’s really winning and it’s because of corrupt courts that he loses. Trump loses because he has no evidence. Just accusations and a rolling commentary that all will be revealed at some never achieved future time.
Are we there yet?
Crazy ass shit
Invariably some Trumpers including never Trumpers will say that they don’t like the man but like his policies. His policies. His fascist anti-hoi polloi policies. Bullying is a policy.
The never Trumpers like Liz Cheney wrap his policies around them like a flag of protection for them to hide behind because they support them. They supported his fascism and fascist policies. Cheney, Bolton, Hutchinson, Griffen, et al. They will say that Trump is the bigger threat yet it is the policies that they support that are the bigger threat to our democracy. Cheney voted with Trump over 90% of the time. The other anti-Trumpers of his administration are the ones that enabled him to execute his fascist policies. They might as well be saying don’t listen to me vote for Trump.
If they truly want to reject Trump then they need to become enlightened to the point where they not only reject Trump but reject his fascist racist policies as well. They need to reject all the MAGA Republicans that sought to overthrow our democracy. They need to reject the MAGA Republican attempts in red states to subvert our form of government. They need to accept responsibility for helping to bring our nation to this point.
Make America Responsible Again.
Professional victims.
When I was a union steward, I had a few white members come to me over the years several times wanting me to file a complaint using reverse discrimination as the basis. They felt that they were denied a promotion because they were white.
Like Trump, MAGA followers portray themselves as the victims. They are the ones being picked on. No one should tell them what to do. They should be the ones telling people what to do. That’s why they want their Scut Farcus Trump. His bullying is their bullying.
MAGA wants the freedom to lie. They have always had that freedom. They still have that freedom. What they want is to take away the freedom of others to say no to their lies and misinformation.
The MAGA cult didn’t want anyone telling them that they had to wear masks during the pandemic. They wanted the freedom to endanger others but did not think that others had the right not to be endangered.
MAGA wants the right to tell businesses what to do, tell women what they can chose to do with their own bodies, tell people what books they can read, rewrite history, discriminate against people that they don’t like (and they don’t like a LOT of people). MAGA wants the right to kill people at the border as well as others. MAGA wants to use tax dollars to support Christian education.
MAGA wants fascism.
To that end.
They have Project 2025 to help them rewrite our form of government.[5] Here’s the first line from the webpage explaining their goals.
“It is not enough for conservatives to win elections. If we are going to rescue the country from the grip of the radical Left, we need both a governing agenda and the right people in place, ready to carry this agenda out on Day One of the next conservative Administration.”
Keep in mind that during Trump’s administration they had complete control of the government for 2 years and evidently that wasn’t enough. They need more. Did you notice the capitalized words “Day One” in their messaging. Trump has said that we need to suspend parts of the constitution and that he wants to be a dictator on Day One? When he was president and lost the election he wanted to declare martial law and use the military on our own people.
Here’s this from Project 2025:
The project is the effort of a broad coalition of conservative organizations that have come together to ensure a successful administration begins in January 2025. With the right conservative policy recommendations and properly vetted and trained personnel to implement them, we will take back our government.
Now what they are talking about here is a purge. They want to fire all of the non-MAGA believing personnel and replace them with MAGA loyalists just like they did when Lara Trump became head of the RNC.[6] They will reclassify up to 50,000 government jobs and make them political patronage jobs with people swearing allegiance to Trump.[7]
Then they’re going to start getting even by bullying everyone that done them wrong. They will be bullies on steroids.
There will be no checks and balances.
