Rush Limbaugh—Republican Conservative hero and role model.

Setting the bar.

            While there shouldn’t be joy there should be recognition.

            People dying is not usually a cause for celebration for me.  It also isn’t a time to provide a good cover story or make something out of someone that they weren’t.  Obviously this doesn’t apply in every circumstance.

            Who was Rush Limbaugh as a person?

            Republican conservatives LOVE Rush Limbaugh. Limbaugh’s a hero to them in the sense that the insurrectionists that stormed the Capitol are patriots, only more so. Limbaugh and Trump are moral equivalents.

            What’s not to like about Rush Limbaugh? He brought so much to the table of life.

High Points

            Just a few of Limbaugh’s many high points in addition to or to expand upon the ones listed above are listed below.

            Early in his career Limbaugh had a segment where he celebrated people dying from AIDs. I had to look this up because it just seemed too unbelievable.

            Limbaugh, like Trump, liked making fun of people he thought were ugly, like the teenage daughters of Presidents and women in general. He lumped entire groups of women as being ugly. He brought up imagery of a woman caller having a bone in her nose, managing to be both racist and misogynistic at the same time. A twofer.

            He didn’t believe that the risks from smoking should be taken seriously.  He smoked cigars and died from lung cancer.

Irony.

            How did the Republican ‘tough on crime’ hero feel about how drug offenders should be treated?

            "Drug use, some might say, is destroying this country. And we have laws against selling drugs, pushing drugs, using drugs, importing drugs. ... And so if people are violating the law by doing drugs, they ought to be accused and they ought to be convicted and they ought to be sent up," Limbaugh, Oct. 5, 1995.

            Limbaugh was arrested in 2006 for drug-related offenses. He was caught, charged and cut a deal with prosecution that let him avoid any prison time.

            Similar to how MAGAT Heads stormed the Capitol but don’t think that they should be charged because the President told them to do it. So also being strong supporters of law enforcement they vandalized our Capitol and assaulted police while looking for elected representatives to harm.

Classic conservativism.

Ground breaker!

            Limbaugh was also a ground breaker when it came to making fun of people with infirmities on national media, like he did to Michael Fox having Parkinson’s disease. This is knee-slapping he-haw stuff for conservatives! Trump carried on with this proud tradition and his seditionists loved it!

            Limbaugh served up hours of this tripe daily to his eagerly anticipating audience, year after year.

            There are lists upon lists of all the evil things that the disgusting human being that was Rush Limbaugh said. It’s how he made his money. Piles of it. He was selling and conservatives were buying. They can’t get enough of it. Limbaugh made a half billion dollars off of them.

Most importantly.

            Limbaugh supported Trump. So Trump awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom the highest civilian medal of our nation. Put him right up there with the likes of Martin Luther King Jr., Mother Teresa. Of course Bill Cosby is a recipient too so there’s that.

            Limbaugh along with the Republican Party helped prepare the ground for a President like Trump. Think of Limbaugh as being the warm-up act for the headliner.

            What’s not to like?

            Besides….

His lack of humanity, decency and morality.

What hath Trump wrought?

 Fortress America!

“Our country has had enough.

We will not take it anymore.”

        Donald Jenius Trump made the above comments on January 6, 2021, among others, after being the President of the nation for 4 years. “We the People” agreed with his statement on November 3^rd, 2020 and declined to grant him a second term.

        After he said that his merry band of MAGATrump Head seditionists stormed the Capitol in attempt to overthrow our government. Republican politicians supported his attempt. They supported his attempted coup leading up to the trashing of our Capitol ending a 240 year run of our Republic having a peaceful transfer of power. They attempted to make us like Myanmar.

They failed.

He failed.

Chaos End

        And now we have more fencing, surrounding the Capitol to defend people from the mob of thugs that would bring it down. Some of the very same armed militia types that assaulted state capitols around the country at Trump’s request sewing fear. Widespread fear. Fear founded in lies. The chaos of lies.

        Fear this. Fear that. Fear the Muslims. Fear the brown people. Fear the socialists. Fear the LGBTQ. Fear the border. Fear equality. Fear the non-Christian. Fear minorities voting. Fear the poor. Fear the vote of the people. Fear science. Fear masks. Fear vaccines. Fear helping others.

        The Trump conspiracy-driven incompetent clique ended as it began and was throughout their four year run—in chaos. The chaos of a fortunately bungled coup attempt of people calling themselves patriots as they tried to overturn the results of a legitimate election and overthrow our government by harming Republicans, Democrats and Independents.

Easy Answer.

        How did a person like Representative Greene get elected? That same question could be asked about Boebert, Hawley, Cruz, Ghomert, Cotton, Jordan, Gaetz, McConnell, Graham, McCarthy and all of the other unindicted co-conspirators and enablers. There’s an easy answer. They were elected and supported by people just like them. People that believe just like them and act like them.

        That was the jenius of Donald Jenius Trump. He understood MAGAT Heads completely when he said that he could shoot someone on 5^th Avenue and they would still vote for him. Would vote for a cold-blooded murderer. And vote for a cold-blooded murderer they did. To the tune of 74 million this time.

        A murderer that caused hundreds of thousands of unnecessary deaths hard lined straight to him and all of his enablers from allies like the Kurds that he turned his back on to our nation’s citizens. Ultimately he killed too many with his incompetence and inability to learn. That contributed to his loss.         They still support him. They still support his coup.

They are Trump.

Aftermath

        Republicans have been successful in making America an armed camp from top to bottom at least for a few days. Troops in a walled off capitol made necessary to protect the transfer of power from their armed mob of MAGAT insurrectionists still intent on overruling the will of the majority of people to satisfy their desire for a fascist nation with their kind of white people in charge.

        What’s the answer? What do we need?

More guns!

More walls!

More security!

        The Republican answer is always that more guns are needed. A nation that is awash in guns needs more guns. More guns are needed on the streets, homes, schools and at the Capitol to protect us! More fencing! Security checkpoints! More riot shields. More bullet proof vests. More barbed wire!

Everywhere in their Amerika!

Loyalty is a one way street

        Who pays for all of the above? All the troops called in? All the damage that was done to the Capitol? All the legal expense of dealing with traitors now and in the future? All the ongoing extra security needed?

We the taxpayers!

        The cost so far from Trump’s attempt to overturn the legitimate vote that he lost, is a half billion dollars. That’s on the low side. All the costs have yet to be added up. What’s more, the costs will be ongoing. And they will only be able to charge a fraction of the thousands the people that should be charged for their treason.

        The majority of rubes that Trump et al got to do his dirty work won’t be charged. There are too many and all the cases of those that should be charged would clog up our courts. Trump could have pardoned all of them en masse like President Carter pardoned all the draft dodgers. Trump didn’t.

        Loyalty is a one way street for the fraidy leader that did not even walk with the insurgents like he said he would. He could have walked at the front and led them.

        He could have walked right in to the Capitol, past the barricades and guards. He could have led the “troops.” Who would have stopped him?

        Who should really pay? How about….

        And MAGAT Heads around the country are crowing on social media and in the news that they are proud of what has happened. Bragging that they trashed the Capitol and tried to overturn the vote of “We the People.” Those that weren’t able to vandalize wish they had been.

        There are already 2024 flags waving in the land. They are preparing for the next one and will “be better.”

        Say goodbye for awhile to the America that former President Donald Jenius Trump would have stuck us with. Brought to you exclusively by Trump the Jenius, his MAGAT Heads, the Republican and Evangelical parties along with their various militia thugs. His very own paramilitary Republican Guard to do his bidding. His supplicants.

        The religion of Trump remains. He is the forever victim, forever whining. Even now he’s watching TV and plotting. Plotting how to do what he does best to our nation. Plotting chaos to help Putin. Away from the MAGAT Heads that he never brought to the White House or entertained at Mar-a-Lago. Too low class for him to associate with.

This is NOT who we are!

            Trump lost Biden won. MAGATrump Heads don’t believe it. If they were the least bit interested in the truth they wouldn’t be following Trump. It’s why they staged a coup.

            I have watched a lot of video of the Republican MAGATrump Head insurrectionists trashing the Capitol to overturn the vote of “We the People.” One video that I watched bears mentioning. A MAGAT supporter was telling his fellow seditionists, “This isn’t who we are!” as they ran by him on the steps of the Capitol.

Has he never been to a Trump rally?

            The crowd of MAGAT insurrectionists at the Capitol was exactly like those that attend every Trump rally. The crowd out front claiming that it was a peaceful demonstration were providing cover for their thug comrades. Same signs. Same messages. Same T-shirts. Same racists present. Their tyranny dressed in the colors of the government that they would overthrow.

The poop was different.

            Okay, okay I’ll give you that the MAGAT Heads didn’t usually play with their poop at Trump rallies. That was new. They saved that behavior for the Capitol. Evidently the coup planners didn’t think that providing Port a Potties was necessary. #1. Storm Capitol. #2. Poop on floors.

            At least they didn’t share selfies of them doing it.

So there’s that.

Howlers.

            The horned fur hat wearing, bare chested, face painted, howling, Q believing MAGAT Head shaman along with the camouflaged geared up Proud Boys are quintessential representatives of the willful ignorance of the traitors to our nation. They wave patriotic symbols while trashing Democracy because it doesn’t support the beliefs they hold sacred. Beliefs like White Nationalism and racism.

            MAGAT Heads support what happened at the Capitol and turn against any of their seditious brethren that don’t go along. The violent mob we saw….

Is exactly either who they are or who they want to be.

Try and focus

            In a video of a focus group of MAGAT supporters that didn’t attend the coup attempt they all but one expressed sympathy for those that trashed the Capitol. The same holds true for the majority of comments posted by MAGAT Heads in comments about the insurgency. They were there in spirit and probably would have gone too but their guns were at the cleaners.

            The surprise to me is that they were almost uniform in their condemnation of Vice President Pence. Now I think in general Pence is at the very top of the list when it comes to obsequious sycophants to EX President Trump. He practically fawns on Trump. I’m surprised he’s able to meet him without his wife being present. They’re as loyal to Trump’s followers as he is. You know—the ones that he didn’t pardon or help with their legal expenses. After all….

These are tough times for billionaires.

How do they know?

            Not a surprise that none of the focus group followed mainstream news. None. Only one of the group watched Fox Pravda and that was only the opinion sideshows. Several pointed out that they don’t know who to believe and ‘trust no one’ was also real popular. They don’t trust anyone. Well, except for their fellow MAGAT Heads that also don’t trust anyone. Kind of a loop there.

            BTW it was Fox Lawyers defending their network in court that claimed their talking head Carlson wasn’t a journalist and couldn’t be trusted. Their talking heads in general have a flexible relationship with the truth on their best days. On most days they just lie. This isn’t good enough for the MAGAT Heads. They know what they already know that they have been told that they know. They want their truth that is lies 24/7/365.

            Based upon what they “knew” they not only trashed the Capitol in an attempted coup they trashed 224 years of having a peaceful transfer of power.

So where does what they “know” come from exactly?

            They know that they believed Trump’s messaging from the very beginning. They don’t want anyone telling them what to do about anything except for Trump and he says trust no one! He tells them that what they believe is righteous. It’s okay to be loud and crude. They are right to want walls to keep out other races and religions. It’s okay to call people of color animals, rapists and criminals. Money comes before everything! Life included. There is no class warfare because they’re the only class that matters. The world that Trump wants is the world that they want. Even though Trump never lets them into his daily world he validates what they want to believe and can’t have. It isn’t about policy. They want subservience. They want intimidation. It’s about power. White power.

They know what they know.

            MAGAT Heads believe what the collective believes. The collective believes Trump. Trump believes Trump.
