            This is priceless. Trump complains unceasingly about our bad trade deals with Canada and Mexico. Here’s a video of the Führer Trump saying, (1) “I look at some of these deals and say who the hell made these deals so bad.” He’s referring specifically to the United States, Mexico, Canada Agreement (USMCA) that he negotiated in 2018. Seriously.[1] At the time he said it was one of the greatest deals ever negotiated.[2]        

Here’s what the Führer Trump said then:

"The USMCA is the largest, most significant, modern and balanced trade agreement in history. All of our countries will benefit greatly. It is probably the largest trade deal ever made, also."

Now it doesn’t sound like Trump believes what Trump said.

Trump says Trump is a liar.

Side note

            What’s happening to posts critical of Trump or his government to platforms online isn’t all that subtle. Posts critical of his regime are being throttled back and the reach of pro-Trump posts is being increased. I have to be more cautious with my titles and I’ve had a couple of posts that wouldn’t even post on my own page on Facebook. That is one of the main reasons that I moved to Substack.

            Research is getting more difficult as well. I have been doing research for decades. I used to go to the law library in a large city to look up legal cases. This was before everything moved to online platforms. Here lately doing searches for videos of Trump saying stupid stuff or making ridiculous claims is becoming a lot more difficult. I have trouble searching for posts or videos that I have referenced previously and not been able to find them again. History and reality are being rewritten daily.

            I highly recommend that you subscribe to my Substack at "The Old Fart." Just search for "The Old Fart" and the picture of a beagle with a stogie sticking out of her mouth is the link you want.

If you haven’t already. We should have email for a while yet. Email can also be controlled by providers.

I also highly recommend that you click on the link end noted at the end of this sentence and read the article.[3] It’s lengthy but provides insight into what is happening today. Hitler dismantled the German Weimar Republic in “one month, three weeks, two days, eight hours, and 40 minutes.”[4] Like Trump is doing with our Republic/democracy.

There are some excellent voices out there. Like Heather Cox Richardson, Meidas Touch, Mar Mansour, Amy Siskind,  Dean Obeidallah, Jim Acosta, Lucas Kunce, Jay Kuo, Jess Piper, Timothy Snyder, Luke Beasley, Medhi Hassan (Zeto), Adam Mockler, and David Packman to just mention a few. (I didn’t provide links on purpose.) There are lots of excellent elected officials to follow as well. My personal favorite is AOC.

Sadly, the majority of Americans don’t care or won’t understand how important democracy is in their lives.

Until they lose it.

Honestly these people are so far up Trump’s ass they deserve their own zip code.

It’s embarrassing watching MAGA Republicans debase themselves to please their king. They are doing their utmost for his highness to try and ingratiate themselves to King Trump. They are creating a myth about a man that never was. This is the kind of crap that supplicants do for dictators.

Addison McDowell, Congressman of North Carolina, introduced legislation to rename Washington Dulles international airport as Donald J Trump international airport.[1]

Andy Ogles, Tennessee Congressman, proposed a House of Representatives joint resolution to amend the constitution so that a president can serve up to three terms. Just Trump.[2]

Anna Paulina Luna, Congresswoman from Florida, put forward legislation to arrange the carving of Trump’s face on the Mount Rushmore national memorial in South Dakota.[3]

Claudia Tenney, New York Congresswoman, introduced legislation to officially designate 14 June as a federal holiday to commemorate Trump’s birthday, along with the date in 1777 when the US approved the design for its first national flag.[4]

            I wonder how often these people have to break away to take in some fresh air. Perhaps there’s a line so MAGA congress people have time to freshen up.

            How long do you reckon it will be before we see his majesty’s face on money? Oops, we already have.

            An Ohio artist created a 15 foot tall bronze statue of Trump called the “Blond Colossus.[5] Wealthy crypto currency investors commissioned the statue. BTW the golden Trump statue that shows up at Trump events came from China. What a surprise![6] 

            While we’re at it the picture of Trump portrayed as a king was indeed put out by the White House.[7] 

 It isn’t often you see a dick wearing a crown.

Mopping up.

            I know that people won’t like reading this but Trump’s coup was successful. Führer Trump is now consolidating power. Or rather the people handling crazy grandpa are. People like the Christian Nationalists that are implementing Project 2025. It’s a long list of people that are doing away with our democracy. His administration is taking our government apart daily. Or rather President Musk is.

            The Füher Trump’s abysmal cabinet picks were approved. Some MAGA Republicans in Congress made some noise but that was the extent of their opposition. Trump threatened them and they immediately fell in line. Paychecks before country. Once they were approved, they immediately flipped. Attorney General Bondi immediately started charging Trump’s political enemies and supporting him.

            Füher Trump has the House, the Senate, and a good chunk of the judiciary already. They flatter their king, bend their knee and do his bidding. Now he’s putting himself in charge of heretofore independent agencies. He’s firing thousands of career civil servants that have worked for several administrations. He has muzzled the media for the most part. Much of what he is doing is illegal, but the fix is in.

            As I mentioned in a previous post when Trump was campaigning, he told a group of his Christian Nationalists that they wouldn’t have to vote again. He was serious. That’s what the Christian Nationalist Project 2025 is all about. His MAGA stooges always have explanations for what he says and that he isn’t serious but history has told us that he is. Look at what he’s doing right now.

            During Trump’s first administration his staff repeatedly committed Hatch Act violations.[1] Here’s what I noticed. Nothing happened. Nothing. Media reported the violations. That’s it. No one was punished. No one was removed.[2] There weren’t any consequences. Trump has spent his entire life dodging consequences for his actions.

            I understand that people are putting their faith in the courts but Trump has been playing the judicial system his entire life. Some lower courts will apply the brakes on his authoritarian actions for a while, but he has 4 years. One case has already made it to his Supreme Court, where he already has 4 Supremes in his pocket. He played the courts and got reelected as a convicted felon. BTW that conviction can be overturned. His odds are pretty good in that regard.

            If he can’t get what he wants from the Roberts Court, Trump will just expand and stack the court with judges like Eileen Cannon. MAGA Republicans will bluster and might hold some hearings but ultimately, they’ll give their master what he wants. They are not the people’s representatives.

They are Trump’s.

Get the other guy—not me!

            I’ve been watching MAGA supporters wailing in comments and on videos because Trump betrayed them in some fashion with his actions when they thought that … (Pick one.)

• Trump was joking.
• Trump meant something else entirely.
• Trump’s talking about other people. Not me.
• Trump said something stupid because he’s really a genius.
• Trump is only acting or saying something because he’s a brilliant negotiator (so it will all work out right in the end).
• Trump meant it when he said he would protect Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security.
• Trump wouldn’t fire me because I supported him.

            I have watched several people complaining because a friend, family member or spouse got caught up in an immigrant sweep and is being deported. One guy’s wife got grabbed. A woman’s husband. Oh woe is me! Woe is me! They were content thinking that it was other people that would get caught. NOT MAGA! Trump was going to own the Dems and Libs.

            One day Trump posts a video saying that he isn’t going to touch Medicare or Medicaid. Then a few hours later he endorses a MAGA Republican bill that will gut Medicaid. Trump isn’t going to touch Medicare he’s just going to gut the agency that administers it. MAGA Republicans are after Medicare. Do the math.

            Millions and I mean millions of the MAGA cult are on Medicaid or receiving government assistance. From food stamps to housing. The majority of government assistance goes to Red states! Red states! States like Kentucky, Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Louisiana, Georgia, etc. Congratulations MAGA. You managed to fuck yourselves.

            I have read comments from degenerate MAGA Trump supporters that think that the government workers getting laid off had it coming to them. Fun fact. 25% of the government workers hired in 2023 were veterans. Veterans receive hiring preference for government jobs. Veterans also get preference in hiring for the United States Post Office. (I worked for the USPS for a few years. Good people.)

            One of my favorites though is the MAGA Morons that thought the laid off workers had it coming to them because they worked for the corrupt Biden administration.

No.1. The Biden Administration was not corrupt and 4 years of MAGA investigations couldn’t find or prove any. Biden did fix an economy that tanked under Trump because of Covid.

No. 2. A lot of those being forced to resign and/or be fired are career government workers that have worked for several different administrations both Republican and Democrat. These are the people that make the government work – for the People. The Führer Trump is getting rid of people that were hired in his own previous administration.

            I find no joy in people getting laid off whether they’re Trump supporters or not. PERIOD. I’ve been laid off. Once was during the Arab oil embargo. One day I had a job and the next day I didn’t. The managers were going around carrying stacks of layoff notices. Thousands were laid off. I was lucky and managed to get another job. Other people weren’t so lucky and lost their home, vehicles or ended up with bad credit.

            When the twin towers were hit there were massive layoffs. The suits running the company that I worked for made the decision to lay off thousands while people were still jumping to their deaths from the towers or were still on fire. They were patting themselves on the back for being “forward thinking.”

            The Führer Trump and Christian Nationalists are celebrating putting tens of thousands of people out of work. President Musk is practically giddy doing King Trump’s work. You can watch him celebrating cutting people with a chainsaw here . 

They all are.
