 Profiles in obsequiousness.

            They just can’t do it.  They just can’t say the words.  Mike Pompeo was being interviewed on Fox News and the talking head tried to get him to criticize Trump directly and while he danced all around he just couldn’t do it.[1]  I believe that if you are vying for the position of being a leader of the free world you should be able to use their name in a sentence like, “NO, Trump is not a true conservative.”

Texas seceding

            Those madcap Texas Neo-Republican Fascists want to vote on seceding from the United States again.[2]  At least the Russians aren’t in charge of this attempt.  Or are they?  Back during the 2016 election the Russian Internet Research Agency was heading up the largest secession group in Texas.[3]  They’re just chompin’ at the bit to tear this country apart!

Slapping

            A Chinese agent was sentenced to 20 years for espionage activities in the private sector where he recruited Chinese nationals working for American companies to steal proprietary information.[4] 20 years! But citizens that tried to overthrow our government are getting hand slaps. It’s a matter of priorities. We take business seriously in America.

I kid you not.

            Welp, squatters have rights.  A guy in Delaware went to sell some land that his father had left him and discovered during a survey made prior to selling it that a woman on some adjacent land had part of a goat pen on his land.[5]  He asked her to move it.  She claimed, “squatter’s rights” and took him to court.  She’d had the goat pen there for over 20 years.  She was using about 2/3rds of an acre.  The court found in her favor and made the guy sign over all 15 acres to her.

War with Mexico

            Meanwhile NRF Senator Lindsay Graham wants to prepare the military for war with Mexico.[6]  Evidently seeing how well it’s going for Russia in their war with Ukraine has led him to believe we should be better prepared before we send troops into Mexico.  Mexico says we shouldn’t do that.[7]

Kids Right to Work state.

            Arkansas Governor Huckabee Sanders signed a law making it easier for underage children to work in factories.[8]  NRFs are doing it for the kids.  (WWJD?)  If they really want the kids to learn a trade let them join the Arkansas National Guard!  Then they can send them to the border to fight the cartels after America goes in for a Special Military Operation.
