This will be kind of a shocker but people fall down occasionally. I know. Right?
I’m old enough to remember when people made a big deal about President Ford taking tumbles.[1] He was the ripe old age of 64 when he left office.[2] So he was taking falls in his early 60s. When I was younger I took a number of falls. Some were because of our 4 legged walking trip hazards.
Trump is 77 years old.[3] President Biden is 80 years old.[4] Congress is kind of old. The average age in the House of Representatives is 57; the Senate average is 64.[5] There are some real young people as well, or those averages would be even higher.
MAGA Head Republicans claim that President Biden is too old to be running for president and that he is in cognitive decline. They produce memes that show Biden’s gaffes and falls. They also edit videos to make it look like he doesn’t know what he’s doing.
Meanwhile Trump is stumping on the campaign trail talking about how he ran against Obama and that Biden is going to start World War Two. At recent campaign rallies Trump struggles with words and reality. He seems to be incapable of understanding and communicating to people that he LOST the last election. Hm.
If MAGA Republicans really think that President Biden is too old then Trump is also too old to run for President again.

It’s understandable that people want younger people to get elected. What we have currently is a LOT of older people in the seats of power everywhere. What President Biden has got going for him is that he is normal. He understands how government is supposed to work, has decades of experience and a history of positive accomplishments. A man that knows what he’s doing is scary to MAGA Heads.
Biden spends his days actually doing the job rather than tweeting for hours on end like Trump did. Trump spent over half of his workday in Executive/personal time.[6] That was probably better for the nation, though. Trump also golfed for 285 days while in office.[7] IDK how much time he racked up throwing food against the wall.[8]
Fortunately for President Biden his backup, his Vice President is Kamala Harris. She’s only 59![9] A youngster! That number two spot has always been important. I was going to vote for John McCain until he picked Palin. OMG! I wasn’t alone in that feeling. She may very well have cost him the election.[10] We have no idea who Trump might pick but there is practically a guarantee about whomever he decides on. Boebert. Greene. Kari Lake.
They won’t be normal.
Just too
President Biden would be too something else for MAGA Heads if age wasn’t an issue. One thing that aggravates the MAGA Republican Party of Dysfunction is that Biden is too good at his job. He puts in the time and gets things done. He’s too normal and knowledgeable about how government works. He’s also not morbidly obese.
The same holds true for Vice President Harris. She’s too womany. Too brown. Too talky. Too uppity. Too intelligent. There’s one thing for sure about both of them.
They’re too Democraty for fascist MAGA Heads.
