On any given day MAGA Republicans are generating so much chaos in so many different areas it’s hard to know what to write about, and then Hamas attacked Israel. Who benefits from all of the chaos that MAGA Republicans are generating? Our allies? Putin? Our enemies? Democracy?
Who does MAGA work for?
According to Ronna McDaniel, the MAGA RNC Chair, Hamas attacking Israel with thousands of people dead on both sides is a “… great opportunity …” for Republicans to use in their upcoming campaigns.[1] How incredibly thoughtful of her. (Sarcasm.) And they’re already lying about what happened and spreading conspiracy theories. Like the $6 billion in funds that were unfrozen are being used to fund Hamas. NOT true. The funds haven’t even been released yet and are currently on hold.[2] Does it make any difference? Can we trust the Iranian government? We’re infidels and for them it’s okay to lie to infidels.
- In 2017 one of then President Trump’s first foreign affairs acts was to provide Israel intelligence to the Russians.[3] In other words he compromised Israel’s intelligence gathering methods and likely got a source or sources of theirs killed.
- Back in 2021 Senator Rand Paul
held up funding for Israel’s Iron Dome air defense.[4] Paul usually has his knickers in a twist over
something.
- Currently we don’t have an ambassador to Israel because of MAGA Republican holds.[5]
- As well, MAGA Republican Senator Tuberville continues his blanket hold on hundreds of military promotions.[6] (When somebody gets promoted a slot is opened up to be filled by the next in line all the way down.) Israel is at war but MAGAs have their individual priorities.
- Tuberville warned the Biden about the danger of picking sides in the war.[7]
- Last but certainly not least Trump
took the time during a campaign stop in Florida where he addressed Club 47 to whine
about Israel Prime Minister Netanyahu doing him wrong, ran the United States
down, said our Capitol looks like shit, insulted our top generals, talked about
how smart terrorists are, praised China’s Xi and the tight control he has on
their country, and of course insulted President Biden for being weak in front
of the world. This would be the same
President who is getting accolades from our allies for the job that he’s doing. Trump saves his praise for dictators. You can watch all the spew at this link. A condensed version is here along with other statements from the “Dear Leader.” (Luke Beasly does a great job in this link.) At one point Trump acknowledged that he
didn’t know if what he was sharing was classified or not. Jesus Christ!
If you don’t know, don’t say it!
- Let me see, what else? Oh yes, the House is without a MAGA Speaker because they fired McCarthy. No Speaker. No legislation. No plan B. More chaos.
Unless chaos is the plan.
Meanwhile
Thousands are dying in Israel and Gaza. There’s a lot of history for this area. This link provides some background along with some maps. Since I wrote about this area back in 2014 things have only gotten worse.
Hamas specifically targeted and murdered unarmed civilians as well as taking hostages. Many were murdered at point blank range. BTW, this isn’t the time for history lessons. So far Israel has recovered 1500 bodies of Hamas terrorists. Israel claims that they have now secured their borders and are preparing for their next military steps.
When Hamas fires missiles into Israel cities their targets are indiscriminate. As more explosions take place in Gaza, without a doubt more children will be dying: keep in mind that 40% of the 2 million population in Gaza is under the age of 14.[8]
