Ten supported fascism.
Unbelievable. Yet here we are. Jewish Senate Minority leader Chuck Schumer voted to support a fascist.[1] His vote is public. Eight Democrats and one Independent joined him. When the chips were down and they had a chance to actually do something besides performing for the cameras they gave him the keys to the nation’s purse strings and empowered the Verführer Trump.

The MAGA CR was far from being clean. MAGA House Republicans added a provision that prevented the House of Representatives from taking up a Bill that would have stopped Trump’s powers provided by the International Economic Emergency Act.[3] Taking a page from their MAGA fascist rule book they simply declared that the remainder of this congressional session just counts as one day. The Act says that Congress can intervene two weeks after the act is invoked. MAGA changed time. They also gave their Führer Trump latitude to use funds however he wants.

Consolidation Phase.
The Führer Trump is effectively eliminating the three branches of government established by the founding fathers. Emphasis on fathers. Republicans (MAGA and others alike) in Congress vote however Dear Leader tells them to vote or he punishes them. They are compliant gutless fascist toadies. Ten Democratic Senators joined them. There were German Jews that thought that they could work with fascists as well. They died. Germans that opposed Hitler were also imprisoned or murdered.[4] Christians, actual Christians, that opposed Nazis also were imprisoned or were executed.[5]
Eventually MAGA will get around to swatting flies like me. Fascists always do. Individual MAGA fascists are already acting for their Führer Trump just like the J6 insurrectionists did. They are taking the law into their own hands because Trump is making what they’re doing law as he rules by decree. MAGA cultists will say that we were asking for it. That’s what happens to those that behave like Americans.
So were those Germans that opposed Hitler patriots or not? Was compromise possible with the Hitler regime or did it empower him?
You can’t compromise with a dictator.
