The Führer spoke!

What MAGA says versus what MAGA does.
First off. There were just too many lies and misinformation in President Trump’s address to Congress to cover them all so I’m just going to touch on a few of the highlights.
Yes, I watched the Führer’s entire address. He is not the orator that he once was. His performance was low energy, sullen, and he kept a tight grip on the podium most of the time as he twisted around with his shoulders. His vitality is definitely missing. Something is definitely up with his health.
The Führer Trump gave the type of speech that his MAGA base eats up. I took detailed notes but I’m not going to even bother trying to deal with all of the absolutely outrageous claims that he made. It doesn’t matter really. MAGA is going to believe their Führer no matter how diligently he is fact-checked.
The Führer announced that he had issued almost 100 executive orders and taken more than 400 executive actions to date. He rules by decree. It doesn’t matter that most of what he is doing is illegal. By the time the cases get to his Supremes they’ll make him legal. After Trump’s speech he thanked His MAGA Supreme Chief Justice Roberts for giving him immunity.[1] His MAGA Supremes are just a couple of decisions away from making their Führer a “legal” dictator.
“Thank you again. Thank you again. I won’t forget.” (He will forget, though, the minute his Supremes fail him, and will turn on them just like he has turned on so many others.)
BTW if you’re curious as to why I’ve settled on calling Trump Führer you should brush up on Nazis and the history of their rise and fall. It never ends well for fascists and their supporters. It’s getting to the end that’s the problem, though. It took a world war last time. America was on the right side of that fight, but we won’t be this time.
What struck me the most about all of his pie in the sky grandiose announcements is that it doesn’t seem like he knows that he was President for four years once already. The MAGA cult generally skips his last year like it didn’t happen. But it did. And it was ugly. And it counts. And speaking of grandiose announcements at one point he made up a bunch of things that he didn’t accomplish and said that Democrats wouldn’t applaud those either. They also didn’t applaud his declaration that he had changed the name of the Gulf of Mexico. It is MAGA Republicans that support his delusions of grandeur.
Trump talked a lot about his government fixing things while eliminating the very agencies that will be needed to fix the all the issues that he talked about. Does that make sense? It does to MAGA. Just like supporting veterans. Under the cover of all the coverage of the Führer’s address to Congress a memo was leaked that Trump’s Co-President and head of DOGE Musk plans to cut another 80,000 people from the Veterans Administration.[2] Yeah, that’s going to help take care of veterans. MAGA Republicans applauded and cheered when he talked about laying people off.
That’s what MAGA does.
The Führer Trump talked a lot about getting rid of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. What the people of color supporting Trump don’t seem to grasp is that Trump is saying that people of color, women, and other minorities are only being hired because of their race or gender, not their qualifications. And by gender he means women. MAGA ignores that people still have to have the skills and qualifications to do the job. The MAGA Führer is making discrimination great again. Companies can go back to discriminating against queers, the handicapped, women, and people of color just like in the old days. MAGA has truly taken America back to the good ol’ days.
Trump talked about criminal immigrants and supporting law and order. He pardoned the criminal insurrectionists that attacked our Capitol and police. Immigrants are to Führer Trump as Jews were to Führer Hitler. He demonizes them continually along with LGBTQIA citizens (Hitler didn’t like them either). He still hasn’t started his Rodeo Roundup of Immigrants. MAGA’s just in the buildup phase.
Trump also talked again about annexing Canada. Countries aren’t annexed. They’re invaded just like Putin did in Ukraine. It’s an act of war. The same holds true for when he talks about buying Greenland. Not to mention the Panama Canal. It is an insult to the sovereign country. That’s the kind of talk that befits a dictator.
A Führer.
